Sixty-seven new COVID-19 cases were reported today on the Big Island.
According to Hawaii County Civil Defense, the state Department of Health currently is monitoring 1,124 active cases and 28 people are hospitalized on Hawaii Island.
The DOH today reported 437 new coronavirus cases statewide.
The Big Island and the City and County of Honolulu have a test positivity rate of 8%, compared to a statewide positivity rate of 7.3%.
An average of 500 new cases have been reported daily Aug. 1-7 and 5,782 cases have been reported in Hawaii in the past 14 days.
Community COVID-19 testing is available until 5 p.m. today at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo. Vaccinations also will be available.
Testing is available Mondays and Thursdays through August at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium and Tuesdays at the Kona Community Aquatic Center.
