Police seeking assistance in locating armed and dangerous Puna man

Hawaii County Police are requesting public assistance in locating a Puna man believed to be armed and dangerous.

Police are seeking 37-year-old Anthony Romero Gonsalves on an outstanding arrest warrant and in connection with an unrelated criminal investigation.

Gonsalves is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 238 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police consider Gonsalves to be armed and dangerous. Gonsalves was found guilty of third-degree assault in 2019.

The public is urged to not approach Gonsalves themselves, but rather to immediately contact police if he is seen.
