A total of 11,045 cases have been reported statewide in the past 14 days amid an ongoing surge driven by the highly transmissible Delta variant.
An average of 877 new cases have been reported daily Aug. 23-29.
Hawaii County has the highest test positivity rate in the state at 9%, higher than the statewide positivity rate of 7.9%.
According to data from the DOH, 524 cases have been reported in Hilo and 447 infections have been identified in Kailua-Kona in the past 14 days.
During that same time period, 72 have been reported in Honokaa; 110 in Waimea; 60 in the Waikoloa Village and Puako areas; 64 in Kealakekua; 81 in the Captain Cook, Ocean View and Honaunau areas; 82 in Pahoa; 154 in Keaau; and 59 in Mountain View.
Community testing is available today from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Kona Community Aquatic Center in Kailua-Kona, 2-6 p.m. at Makuu Farmers Market in Pahoa and 9 a.m.-noon at The HUB in Pahoa.
