Edward Asuncion, 74, of Pahoa died Sept. 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired mason and member of Hawaii Mason and Plasterers Union Local 630. Memorial services/celebration of life at a later date. Survived by children, Edeen T. (Henry G. Acia) Gouveia of Hilo, Ruby (Robert) Kobayashi and Christine (Russel) Asuncion-Mattos of Keaau, Edward A.J. Robert Dale Fitts, Sr., 86, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 19 at his home. Born in Sweetwater, Texas, he was a minister, author and educator. Limited memorial 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9. “Tubby” Roland Lanakila Grace Sr., 65, of Pahala died Sept. 7 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospita., Born in Kealakekua, he was a former ranger for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, football and boxing coach, educational assistant for Ka‘u High School agriculture class, operations manager, heavy machinery operator, security officer for RMT Enterprise, U.S. Army and National Guard veteran and Konawaena High School alumnuse.
