As part of the sixth annual National Coffee With a Cop Day, the Hawaii Police Department is hosting two virtual Coffee With a Cop events on Wednesday.
Hamakua Community Policing Officers from the Honokaa and Laupahoehoe police stations will hold their inaugural Coffee With a Cop event, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. via Zoom. Interested attendees can join the Hamakua meeting using the link https://bit.ly/3EJgZPI.
West Hawaii residents can talk story with Kona Community Policing Officers via Zoom from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Interested attendees can join the Kona Coffee With a Cop event using the link https://bit.ly/3m9YF9U.
From the comfort of your own home you can talk story with community policing officers in an informal setting. Topics of conversation can range from answering questions to discussing neighborhood or community issues.
National Coffee With a Cop Day began as part of National Community Policing Week in 2016 and now continues each year on the first Wednesday in October furthering efforts nationwide to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement.
