Nancy McMillan, 82, of Keaau died Nov. 3 at home. Born in Seattle, she was also a pastel chalk and sketch artist, lover of nature and all living things, especially horses, and witnessed the attack on Pearl Harbor from Halawa Heights in Aiea, Oahu, while her father was stationed there. Survived by, sister, Janice Needham of Alaska; children, James (Kristine) McMillan-Chau of Oahu, Mary Laser of California, Anne (Amir) Guy of Colorado, Brian (Rhodora) McMillan of Guam and Benjamin (Sherie) McMillan of Hawaii island; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Matilda Rivera, 91, of Pahoa, died Oct. 15 at home. Born in Olaa, she was a homemaker, caregiver and member of Glad Tidings Church in Hilo and the former Kohala Puerto Rican Social Club.
