Humane Society hosts free pet microchipping events

Kelsey Walling/Tribune-Herald The Hawaii Island Humane Society has officially opened its retail shop in Keaau. The shop is specially curated by employees at HIHS and all proceeds from the shop go directly back to the organization and its animals.

Kelsey Walling/Tribune-Herald Pebbles used to be a resident at the Hawaii Island Humane Society, but was officially adopted this year. There will be at least 50 dogs available during the HIHS holiday adoption event.

The Hawaii Island Humane Society wants to educate and celebrate pet owners this holiday season.
