286 new cases on Big Island; more than 3,000 statewide

Almost 300 new COVID-19 cases were reported on the Big Island today, with more than 3,500 statewide.

According to data from the state Department of Health, 286 new cases were reported in Hawaii County today, and 3,586 cases statewide, a decrease from record-setting numbers earlier this week.

DOH reports 22 new COVID hospitalizations statewide and three new COVID deaths.
