Selected works of art will be displayed in a juried exhibit titled Honoring King Kamehameha at the Volcano Art Center from May 21-June 26.
Volcano Art Center is sending a call to artists requesting works of art which honor King Kamehameha the Great. Selected works of art will be displayed in a juried exhibit titled Honoring King Kamehameha at the Volcano Art Center from May 21-June 26.
On June 11th, 1872, Hawaii held its first King Kamehameha Day celebration. This year marks the 150th anniversary of this noble holiday.
Interested artists should visit VAC’s website for entry procedure, eligibility and conditions of acceptance. All entries must be submitted digitally and a photograph of each artwork is required to complete the online submission. Adult entries are $10 each (up to 3 entries per artist) for non-VAC members or $5 each for VAC members. All keiki/student entries are free to submit.
