Gallagher, Yamauchi land on All-PacWest teams

UH-Hilo’s Joseph Gallagher landed on the All-PacWest baseball first team at designated hitter. He had a .348 batting average, six home runs and 39 RBIs, slugged .549.

Gallagher, a graduate transfer from Hawaii Pacific, had 17 multi-hit games and a season-high of five hits against the Sharks, when he batted 5 for 6.

Junior shortstop Casey Yamauchi was voted to the All-PacWest third team. He had a PacWest best .403 batting average and the least amount of strikeouts with seven. He had a PacWest high of 21 doubles and slugged .527 and scored 46 runs and had 21 RBIs.

The Vulcans finished 27-19, including 15-17 in the conference, good for sixth.
