Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals is hosting a career fair for over 40 businesses next week.
“There is a need for more workers with many open positions across the island, said Samantha Collins, chair of the career fair. “We have about 40 businesses participating with many offering part time and full time positions.”
Some businesses present will conduct interviews during the fair while others will offer applications to interested attendees. Positions are available islandwide.
“I think this is a great opportunity for people interested in changing or expanding their careers,” Collins said. “The fair offers people a chance to connect face-to-face when so many jobs are only posted online.”
The fair is free to the public at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo and will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 3 and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to dress professionally and bring a resume if possible.
