Hundreds of people gathered to celebrate loved ones who have passed on during the Hawaii Care Choices’ Celebration of Life on Saturday night.

Lights flickered throughout Reeds Bay as several families and friends put their uniquely designed lanterns out on the water to honor their loved ones.

This year, there was a special memorial tribute to honor the late former Mayor Billy Kenoi, who died on Jan. 26, 2021.
