Renwick P. Bibilone, 66, of Volcano died June 1 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired public school teacher who spent most of his career at Ka‘u High and Pahala Elementary School and a U.S. Navy veteran. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 6 p.m. Urn committal and burial with military honors 9 a.m. Friday, July 1 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 pavilion. Carl W. “Wayne” “Kazu” Gastilo, 73, of Keaau died June 14 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born on Oahu, he worked for Nakamoto Concrete and Masonry, was a U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran, graduate of Hilo High School and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Satomi Hiura, 100, of Papaikou died May 6 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Amauulu Camp, Hilo, she was a preschool teacher, director of Papaikou Hongwanji Nursery School, and member of Papaikou Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and East Hawaii Hiroshima Kenjin Kai.
