Glenn Thomas Matthews, 74, of Pahoa died July 9 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Los Angeles, he was a musician and retired music teacher at Waiakeawaena Elementary School. Services in San Francisco at a later date. Survived by son, Thomas (Nicole) Matthews of Connecticut; daughter, Donna (Elijah McCluer) Matthews of Hilo; siblings, Donna Eccles, Susan Wright, Diana Wright and Christopher Wright of California; two grandsons; nieces and nephews.
