Tobey Grace “Kai‘olu” Crowe, 17 of Kailua-Kona died July 22. She was a senior at Kealakehe High School and had a deep understanding and commitment to aloha ‘aina. Service 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 2) at Maka‘eo (Old Kona Airport) pavilion in Kailua-Kona. No flowers. Memorial donations to Hiki Ola, P.O. Survived by parents, Derek and Amber “Luana” Crowe; siblings, Brayde “Nahenahe” Crowe and Eden “Mahiehie” Crowe of Kailua-Kona, Hope Crowe Dawson and Kaden Crowe of Sugar Land, Texas; grandparents, Jim Crowe, Carl and Chrisanna Scharrer; an aunt, an uncle; cousins and hanai ʻohana. Vernon William Silva, 74, of Keaau died July 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kaneohe, Oahu, he was a retired driver for The Bus on Oahu. Funeral service 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday (Aug. 1) at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary Lower Chapel at Valley of the Temples in Kaneohe. Burial to follow. Survived by children, Nalani (Ernest T. Pablo Jr.) Silva-Pablo, Jason (Laura Fabella-Silva) Silva, Nathan (Moani) Silva and Kalei Silva; siblings, Gilbert Silva Jr., Diana Konohia and Myron Shimamoto; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
