John Charles Creelman, 80, of Honokaa died Aug. 9 at home. Born in Silverdale, Wash., he was retired from Coca-Cola, where he started as a delivery truck driver and ended as a parts orderer, and a U.S. Army veteran. No services. He is survived by wife, Nina M. Creelman; in-laws, James K.P. (Carol S.) Reddell and Carol “Karo” A. Reddell; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Gabriel De Silva Jr., 72, of Pahoa died Aug. 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a retired schoolteacher, artist and musician. Celebration of life at a later date. Ann M. Eguchi, 97, of Hilo, formerly of Wainaku, died Aug. 13 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. She was a retired documents clerk at the Third Circuit Court and member of Taishoji Soto Mission. Private service held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Kenneth “Pops” Loa, 72, of Hilo died July 3 in Kealakekua. Born in Pago Pago, American Samoa, he was a retired Hawaiian Electric Co. lineman. Rodney Tadaharu Nishino, 81, of Hilo died Aug. 13 at home. Born in Hilo, he was retired from both the former Hawaii Electric Light Co. and Hawaii Air National Guard and a member of Taishoji Soto Mission and Niigata Kenjinkai. Private services held.
