Born in California, he was a retired assistant county administrator for Marin County, California, served in Iran in the Peace Corps in the 1960’s, worked for the federal government in the CETA program and other positions for Marin County. Born in Kalapana, she worked for the Department of Education Kupuna Program and Kamaiaina Kids A+ Program and the county’s Keaukaha Kawananakoa Summer Program, a member of Ke Ola Pono No Na Kupuna and Hale No Na Ali‘i, former dancer for Halau O Kekuhi and Halau Hula ‘O Kahikilaulani and Leo Naheaahe O Pahae Kealoha.
