The Fire Department said a 30-foot-by-40-foot single-story structure in Waipi‘o Valley was destroyed Friday by fire.
Eleven units responded to the 3:58 p.m. alarm, but response was delayed because of the difficult terrain of the valley floor.
Arriving units found the structure burned to the ground with an extended burn perimeter of about 10 feet in all directions into green foliage.
Fire suppression efforts concluded with fire pumps drafting water from a nearby stream.
No injuries were reported.
