Talon Jason-Rilloraza, 20, of Hilo died Sept. 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Surviving relatives are asked to call Ballard Family Mortuary Hilo at (808) 935-8445.

Dr. William “Biff” Joseph Kennedy Jr., 84, of Hilo died Aug. 24 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. He was a retired licensed professional engineer, U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves veteran, taught math at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and industrial engineering at the University of Utah, Clemson University and U.S. Military Academy West Point, served as an electrician for Habitat for Humanity in Oconee County, S.C. and on the county Library Board, was a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, earned degrees from Whitman College, Washington State, U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and Virginia Tech, and was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross and a Rotarian in Hilo and South Carolina. Visitation 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Church of the Holy Cross, 440 W. Lanikaula St. Celebration of life at 2 p.m. Social distancing to be observed. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Memorial donations to the Salvation Army. Survived by wife, Anna Kennedy of Hilo; son, Matthew Kennedy of Vail, Colo.; daughter, Sarah (Jonathan) Marusek of Hilo; sister, Debora Kennedy of Madison, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Luella Murphy of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Anne P. Isabella Datauo Poch, 54, of Keaau died Aug. 5 at home. Born in Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia, she was a cashier at various retail stores. Private services held. Survived by husband, Iosinto Edwin of Keaau; sons, Eddie (Faith) Yeichy of Keaau and Ed Yeichy of New York; daughters, Suzanna (Saing Teruo) Yeichy of Hilo, Priscilla (Kacher Hartman) Poch of Washington state, Suebella Yeichy and Veronica Yeichy of Keaau; brothers, Sinaiter (Wiresita) Poch of Keaau, Lastly (Ansina) Poch of Hilo, Meichy Poch, Stasi (Mesipa) Poch, Itasi Poch, Ychiem Poch, Saropa (Neipito) Poch, Sista (Jenny Hartman) Poch and Skare (Santiar Kutta) Poch of Chuuk; sisters, Maasa Poch (Michiosy) Kansou of Spokane, Wash., Meripa Poch (Mmnche) Kachem of Hilo and Roxanna Poch (Kapier) Kaminanga of Oahu; eight grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews. Fujie Shishido, 98, of Hilo died Sept. 20 at home. Born in Kona, she was a retired seamstress and dressmaker and member of The Church of World Messianity. Private services held. No flowers. Survived by son, Edward Shishido of Hilo; daughters, Patricia (Don) Dagenais of Kansas City, Mo., and Coleen (Lloyd) Uyeda of Honolulu; sisters-in-law, Setsuko Sato of California, Miyako Kuniyoshi of Hilo and Kayoko Shishido of California; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
