Segundo Calicdan Jr., 83, of Hilo died Oct. 8 in Keaau. Born in Waimanalo, Oahu, he was a retired foreman for the former Hawaii Electric Light Co. and U.S. Navy veteran. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire. Committal service with military honors noon at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 Pavilion. Daisy Keaopanopano Losalio, 81 of Kealia died July 27 at home. Born in Hookena, she was a housekeeper for the former Kona Surf Hotel and member of Hookena and Honaunau Kumiai and Pukaana Congregational Church. Joannavi Mililani Medeiros, 67, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 8 at her family’s home. Born in Kealakekua, she was a waitress at the former Ocean View restaurant, newspaper sorter at West Hawaii Today and member of Aloha International Dream Center. No services. Born in Honokaa he was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines and the former Northwest and Continental airlines, steward for Norwegial Cruise Lines, 1980 graduate of Honokaa High School, graphic artist and member of the Skeet Shoot Club in Seattle and founding member of Manalele Gun Club.
