Kahilu Theatre in Waimea is presenting “Christmas Makes Me Crazy” live at 7 p.m. Friday.

Under the direction of Barbara Kopra, the Waimea Community Chorus ushers in the holidays by presenting chorus member Patty Bigelow’s original musical, “Christmas Makes Me Crazy,” as a choral concert.

The music brings to life the dream of a frazzled mother as she falls asleep writing her “to do” list. As she sleeps, she is inspired by the carolers singing outside her home and has visions of the Christmas story.

The concert features soloists, small group numbers, and the full chorus. A singalong of holiday favorites will conclude the concert.

From first-time performers to well-seasoned vocalists, this year the Waimea Community Chorus has 40 members ranging in age from 13 to 86 who all share a passion for singing.

Joining the singers onstage will be Adrienne Cherry, the accompanist.

There are two ways you can watch the performance.

In-person: Tickets are $25, which can be purchased at KahiluTheatre.org.

On-demand: Tickets for this show, which are good for an entire household, are $9.99 and available at Kahilu.TV.

Monthly and annual subscriptions are also available for Kahilu.TV. Can’t watch it live? Catch it on-demand the next day, the next week or the next month.
