Seasonal smackdown set for Saturday in Hilo

It’ll be a seasonal smackdown this Saturday as Toughman Hawaii Next Generation brings nonstop action to the Edith Kanaka‘ole Multi-Purpose Stadium in Hilo.

Doors open at 4 p.m. and the holiday hostilities start at 5:30 p.m.

Teenage kickboxing and MMA phenom Adrian Lee, who holds multiple titles, is matched against probably the best fighter he’s faced to date, undefeated Sebastian Prangley of American Kickboxing Academy.

The undercard we will feature all the winners from Toughman Hawaii’s August show as quarterfinalists of this Tournament of Champions. Promoter Walter Carvalho Jr. said the promotion will also introduce 30 new fighters from around the globe into the tournament.

Participants include: Rysaiah Abadilla, son of former Toughman Hawaii lightweight champion Riquio Abadilla; plus Aleka Rincon Jr, Richard Pavao, Uriyah Elaban, Keeyan Flores, Gemar Alvarado, Skyler Alvarado, Capone Sunberg, Isaiah Grace, Reign Respicio, Justin Wolf, Richie Wolf, Kanalu Alama, Janson Keanu, Ryan and Elijah Joaquin, Fury Ma‘afala, Ilihia Sanborn, Kaya Wakana-Lee, Adrin Solozano, Mikah Grace and more.

There’ll be special guest appearances by fighting siblings Christian, Veronica and Angela Lee, plus ono grinds and gift giveaways.

Tickets are $45 ringside, $30 general admission. Tickets are available at GOT GIFTS in the Prince Kuhio Plaza.
