USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory Scientist-in-Charge Ken Hon and Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency Administrator Talmadge Magno on Wednesday, Jan. 18, will discuss the unrest leading to the 2022 eruption of Mauna Loa.

The presentation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Na Leo Studio, 91 Mohouli St. in Hilo.

Hon and Magno will describe how the eruption and response unfolded and highlight the important takeaways for Hawaii Island residents.
