Tara Joy Mandaloniz, 45, of Las Vegas, formerly of Hilo, died Dec. 18, at home. Born in Hilo, she was a kindergarten teacher at Sunshine Acres Elementary School in Las Vegas, and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and St. Joseph High School. Visitation 10-10:30 am. Saturday, March 4, at Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Parish Hall, at 27-186 Kaapoko Homestead Rd. in Papaikou. John Paul Souza, 69, of Captain Cook died Feb. 10 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was an iron worker for Associated Steel Company and member of Iron Workers Union Local 625 who loved the ocean and his family. Private services at a later date.
