AARP members and military veterans can refresh their paletes with paletas — a South American frozen fruit treat — and get information about AARP activities in East Hawaii at a free “Paletas in the Park” member and veterans appreciation event in Hilo from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
AARP members and veterans can bring up to two guests.
To get your free paleta, register in advance or stop by the AARP table outside Ali‘i Ice, 2101 Banyan Drive in Lili‘uokalani Park, and pick up a coupon for the free frozen treat. Preregistration is encouraged to reduce lines.
