The 48th annual International Night will be held Friday at the University of Hawaii at Hilo Performing Arts Center.
The popular event, which is presented by the UH-Hilo International Student Association, is from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Each year, the International Student Association produces shows that feature performances from the many different cultures and countries represented at UH-Hilo.
International Nights is a long-standing tradition at UH-Hilo that spans over four decades, and is a favorite event on campus among students, the community and visitors.
The performers volunteer and do not get paid for their time and effort in preparing for and executing their performances.
Performances and the places they represent will include: Taishoji Taiko (Japan); Hui Haumana Hawai‘i ma UH-Hilo (Hawaii); Ngelekel Belau Club (Palau); Japanese Students Association (Japan); Marshallese Iakwe Club (Marshall Islands); Hawaii Irish Dance (Ireland); Fiji Meke Group (Fiji); Tupulaga O Samoa Mo A Taeao (Samoa).
Ticket prices are $5 for UH Hilo/HCC students (validated student ID card required) and keiki (17 and under); $15 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased online at artscenter.uhh.hawaii.edu/tickets/ or by phone Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at (808) 932-7490.
