Hilo and Waiakea each swept their series, and will play against each other in the BIIF Division I Championship series — which begins Thursday April 27th at Kealakehe High School. Both also have earned a berth in the HHSAA State playoff bracket. State playoffs will begin May 2 on O‘ahu.
Kamehameha Schools – Hawai‘i routed Konawaena for the second day in a row, earning a bid in Division II Championship — which will also take place starting Thursday at Kealakehe HS.
As of 7 p.m. Friday, the score of Game 2 between Honoka‘a and Kohala has not been made available. When available, it will be published.
HHSAA will allow three DII BIIF teams into the DII State playoff bracket this year. The losing teams from the BIIF Division II semifinals will play a play-in game on Saturday the 29th at the higher seed. The winner will receive a birth in the state playoffs.
