Before you stop working, you need to understand what you need versus what you want to do in retirement. What role will Social Security play in your financial plan? When do you sign up for Medicare, and do you need a Medicare supplemental insurance plan?
Fortunately, AARP Hawaii is holding a series of free weekly webinars at 10 a.m. on three Saturdays in July.
Topics covered are “Ten Steps to Get Ready for Retirement” on July 8, “Social Security for Retirees” on July 15, and “Medicare Basics” on July 22.

The webinars will run for about an hour and a half, including time for questions.
The workshops are free, and participants don’t have to be a member to attend. The workshops are facilitated by AARP volunteers.
