Born in Fresno, Calif., he was a chef at the Fairmont Orchid and member of Lifewater Church and American Culinary Federation. Celebration of life service 10 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at Lifewater Church in Kealakekua. A mainland service is scheduled for Saturday, July 22, in Shaver Lake, Calif. Patricia Ann Mattos, 85, of Hilo died June 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in San Francisco, she was a retired office manager in the custom decorating department at the former JC Penney and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Private services at a later date. Survived by children, Anita (Charles) Cunningham, Patricia (Hank) Baroldy, Edward (Emily) Serrano and Anthony Serrano; three sisters and a brother; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
