Shiela Kazuyo (Kaneshiro) Echevary, 77, of Honolulu, formerly of Honokaa, died April 23 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. She was born in Honokaa. Private memorial service held June 27 at Mililani Memorial Park &Mortuary, where she will be buried. Survived by children, Sharlene (Nolan) Tamashiro, Sheryl (Mark Fukeda) Kochi and Anson (Michelle) Echevary; significant other, Albert Rambaoa; his children, Aileen (Mike) Rambaoa, Laura (Gordon) Bright and Cheryl (Tyron) Kitashima; siblings, Katherine Kiyabu, Leora Haitsuka and Timothy (Mary- Ellen) Kaneshiro; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Guy D. “Guy Boy” Berinobis, 58, of Keaau died April 19 in Hilo. He was born in Kaneohe, Oahu. Visitation 10-11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 16, at Kualoa Beach Park in Kaneohe. Lewis Emerson Swain III, 54, of Hilo died June 1 in Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a carpenter, member of Hale Pule Ke Ola Hou and volunteered at Camp Agape. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday (July 8) at Haili Tent on Noeau Street in Panaewa. Celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Casual attire; no flowers. Lei welcome. Keichi Ikeda, 98, of Kailua-Kona died June 10 at home. Born in Pahoa, he was a registered professional mechanical engineer with FMC Corp. and ESD in San Jose, Calif., graduate of Hilo High School, University of Hawaii-Manoa and University of Washington, avid bowler with the Kona Seniors Monday and Thursday bowling leagues, and member of Kona Hiroshima Kenjin Kai and Kona Japanese Civic Association. Services at a later date. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts).Survived by wife, Grace; daughter, Gail (Larry Yamano) of Sunnyvale, Calif.; sons, Michael (Jessie) Ikeda of Saratoga, Calif., and Edward (Janis) Ikeda of San Jose; sisters-in-law, Molly Ikeda and Paulina Ikeda of Kailua-Kona; four grandchildren; two nephews. Edward Ramones Madamba, 88, of Hilo died June 21 at home. Born in Makaweli, Kauai, he was an employee for Aerojet Rocketdyne and nuclear utility SMUD, in California, opened Penny’s Kaukau lunch shop in Papaikou, assisted at Hale Kai Bed at Honolii Point, was a U.S. Army veteran and was vice chair for the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program Advisory Council, announced and coached kupuna softball, taught hanafuda at the Kamana Senior Center and was honored for his volunteer work in 2014 with the Outstanding Older American Award representing the Island of Hawaii. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by wife, Penny Madamba of Hilo; children, Renate Madamba of Stockton, Calif., Michael Madamba of Redlands, Calif., Alan (Mary) Madamba of Rocklin, Calif., and Edward (Sandra) Ane of Sacramento, Calif.; sister, Caridad Villanueva of Stockton; three granddaughters; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Philip Kekoa Kamoku Jr., 65, of Captain Cook died May 18 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a manager for Mrs. Fields’ Cookies and member of Kahikolu Congregational Church and Kuakini Hawaiian Civic Club. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at Kahikolu Congregational Church in Napoopoo. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Casual attire.
