Police are renewing their request for information about a 2021 unsolved murder in Puna.
The body of 76-year-old Michael Rosenbaum was discovered on July 31, 2021, at MacKenzie State Recreation Area.
Rosenbaum had been reported as a missing person on July 24, 2021. He was reportedly last seen alive in Pahoa town on July 22, 2021.
Rosenbaum’s body was found by a local fisherman on the cliffs below the beach park, police said. An autopsy later concluded that Rosenbaum died from a gunshot wound.
Police are continuing the investigation, which has been classified as second-degree murder.
