Francisco Abadilla Jr., 64, of Keaau died June 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Molokai, he was a retired machine and heavy equipment operator and member of New Hope Church Hilo. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday (July 29) at New Hope Church Hilo, 840 Kupulau Rd. Celebration of life and fellowship from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Aloha attire; flowers and lei welcome. Survived by daughter, Annie (Cody) Abadilla-Alvarez of Keaau; sons, Joey (Lana) Abadilla of Papaikou and Jason (Keala) Abadilla of Hilo; siblings, April Ann (Mark) Kealamakia of Waimea, Phillip (Jean) Abadilla Sr. of Ainaloa, George (Gwen) Abadilla of Kurtistown, Samantha (James) Thomas of Orchidland Estates, Sam (Tanya) Abadilla of Oregon, Faustino (Tawnya) Abadilla of Orchidland Estates, Sheldon (Lisa) Bastatas, Duke (Toni Jen) Bastatas, Zachary (Christina) Bastatas and Priscilla (Daniel) Caluya of Oahu; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Caron Naomi Ikeda, 43, of Honolulu died July 15. Born in Kealakekua, she was a Vice President and manager for Bank of Hawaii Trust Services Group, Financial Planning Department. Visitation 4:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at Nuuanu Memorial park and Mortuary-East Chapel in Honolulu. Service at 5:30 p.m. No flowers. Survived by father, Aaron; mother, Carol; sister, Kelsi (Wyatt) Akahoshi; grandparents Sandy Iwashita and Ike Ikeda; a nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kenneth “Ken” Kenji Katayama, 83, of Hilo, died July 11 at home. Born in Pahala, he was retired from Kulani Correctional Facility, a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Puhi Bay Ohana. Scattering of ashes 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at James Kealoha Beach Park/Four Mile in Keaukaha. Celebration of life 1 p.m. at the family residence in Keaukaha, 173 Todd Ave. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Mabel Katayama of Hilo; son, Kevin (Joni) Katayama of Honolulu; daughters, Katrina (Douglas Park) Katayama, Kimie Fiu and Kristie (Jordan) Kahihikolo of Hilo; hanai son, Johnny-coe (Christine) Keanu of Keaau; brother, Roy (Mary Ann) Katayama of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Pearl Silva and Charlotte (Darryl) Liborio of Hilo; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
