The other Oahu competitors will be Damien, Hawaii Baptist, Kaimuki, Kalaheo, Kapolei, Nanakuli, Radford and University Lab. Mainland attendees include Bend, Ore., Bishop Alemany, Calif., Campbell Hall, Calif., Eleanor Roosevelt, Calif., Ironwood Ridge, Calif., Otay Ranch, Calif., Rocklin, Calif., Shadow Ridge, Nev. and West Salem, Ore.
Pool play matches will be held from 3 p.m. to approximately 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 and playoffs from 8 a.m. through approximately 4 p.m. on Sept. 2.
BIIF Volleyball
The tournament will take place on the heels of the BIIF girls volleyball season’s first week. Originally, the first BIIF matches were slated for Aug. 21 — but, as of Monday, the start has been pushed back to Aug. 29.
BIIF play will open with four matches on Tuesday the 29th and four more the following day — including matchups between KSH and Hilo, Waiakea and Kea‘au, Laupahoehoe and Honokaa and more.
This season, BIIF DII will add three new girls volleyball teams — all from the isle’s Hawaiian immersion schools. Ka ‘Umeke and Kanu O Ka ‘Aina will debut varsity teams, and Ehunui will debut a JV team.
