George Ben Hur Kapuras Sr., 79, of Hilo died July 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Olaa, he was a cable splicer for Hawaiian Tel. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 26) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of at 10 a.m. Casual attire. No wreaths; other floral arrangements and lei welcome. Survived by children, Sherilyn (Dean) Yoro, George (Boya) B.H. David Clelland Nail, 61, of Keaau died Aug. 4 at home. Born in California, he was owner/operator of Capo Beach Equipment Rental. Private services held. Lewis Ephraim Kapalani Hanohano Neighbor, 43, of Pahoa died June 8 at Straub Medical Center in Pahoa. He was a drywall installer, a graduate of Pahoa High School and U.S. Army veteran. William “Sandy” James Richter, 75, of Pahoa, died Aug. 7 at home. Born in Palo Alto, Calif. he was a retired clinic billing department supervisor and U.S. Navy veteran. Beatrice Sagucio Serain, 97, of Hilo died Aug. 1. Born in Hilo, she was a retired school custodian and active member of Kamana Center’s ‘ukulele and Zumba classes and Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church.
