Bernard “Bernie” Geiger, 85, of Hilo died Aug. 11. Born in Braddock, Pa., he worked for an engineering firm, was a volunteer sheriff in Colorado, a deep-water yachtsman, marksman, trumpeter, drum and bugle corpsman, history buff and graduate of Pitcairn High School.
