BIIF 5k at Hawaii Prep

On Friday afternoon, 166 boys and 86 girls across seven schools competed at Hawaii Prep in a Big Island Interscholastic (BIIF) 5k cross country meet. Ka Makani’s girls team highlighted the event with a first-place overall finish — averaging the 5k run in 25:14.32. Wynter Radey-Morgan was HPA’s top runner, finishing in third in 23:42.41. On the boys side, Waiakea won the overall event with an average time of 19:57.69 in the 5k. Shane Tominaga was the top finisher for the Warriors, placing first overall and running in 18:50.49.
