Police investigating social media threat at Waiakea High School
Hawaii County police are investigating a social media threat at Waiakea High School.
According to a Police Department notice, a concerned parent notified officers at 10 p.m. Wednesday that their child received a threatening social media message from an unknown person.
The identity of the person who sent the message is still unknown. However, the Police Department will maintain police presence at the school throughout today, with Area I Juvenile Aid detectives investigating.
