Thelma Parker Memorial Public Library has opened registration for the next First Saturday Community Art Class, Watercolor Halloween, which will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Sat., Oct. 7 in Waimea.
Thelma Parker Memorial Public Library has opened registration for the next First Saturday Community Art Class, Watercolor Halloween, which will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Sat., Oct. 7 in Waimea.
The free art classes are presented in partnership with the Waimea Arts Council.
WAC artist Lorrie Taylor will lead the class for beginning artists ages 6 and older. Students will work on watercolor techniques and learn about dropping in color, blending, and lifting, while creating a glowing pumpkin painting.
Classes are held in the library meeting room, with all supplies provided by the arts council. Class size is limited and advance registration at the library for each class is required.
Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
