Leina‘ala Teruya Drummond, 77, of Volcano died Sept. 18 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Puunene, Maui, she was Miss Hawaii 1964, the image of “Pualani” the iconic Hawaiian Airlines logo, a hula dancer in Danny Kaleikini’s Kahala Hilton show, co-owner of the former Ian’s Restaurant and Deli in Pukalani, Maui, Maui County council member 1990-1992, founding program director at Hawaii Family Forum, Realtor and ordained minister.
