DII volleyball winds down

Correction: In an article released Wednesday, it was incorrectly stated that the Monday Oct. 16 match between Honoka‘a and Christian Liberty would be the last regular season match. Though it will be the final BIIF DII match, several DI matches will be played that week — Kealakehe at Waiakea on Oct. 17, Kea‘au at Hilo Oct. 17, Waiakea at Hilo Oct. 19 and Kealakehe at Kea‘au Oct. 19.

Obituaries for October 12

Youichi Fujii, 90, of Kealakekua died Sept. 4 at Fely’s Care Home. Born in Honalo, he was a coffee farmer. No services. Survived by sisters, Jean Nakagawa of Wahiawa, Oahu, and Betsy Creech of California; brothers, Robert (Clara) Fujii of California and Aldo (Joyce) Fujii of Mililani, Oahu; nieces, nephews and cousins. Early intelligence shows Hamas attack surprised Iranian leaders, US says
