Hilo Woman’s Club to host ‘Sock Hop Dance Party’

The Hilo Woman’s Club will be hosting its “Shake, Rattle & Roll Sock Hop Dance Party” from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at the club, located at 7 Lele St. in Hilo.

A light 1950s-style dinner will be served, and guests are welcomed to bring their own special beverage of choice.

Attendees will have a ball with the rock-n-roll sounds from the Atypical Band, featuring Jackie Gomes.

Fashion styles from this era are encouraged.

Tickets are $25, and all donations and proceeds support the Hilo Woman’s Club’s Scholarship Program and Community Project Fund. For tickets and information, call (808) 935-9838.
