Carolene “Carol” Kealoha Kawaakoa, 53, of Mountain View, died Aug. 2 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kaneohe, Oahu, she was a waitress for the former Dotty’s Coffee Shop and Restaurant, homemaker, known for her laulau and smoked meat and a member of the Puna Pidgin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
