Joanne Alcoran, 76, of Kamuela, died Oct. 17 at home. Born in Kona, she was a retired gas station cashier. Private services to be held at a later date. Survived by daughters Wendy Miranda and Clarissa (Jayme) Carvalho; son Jon (Karlene Gaston) Alcoran; sister Cindy De Pontes Guzman; brothers Gary De Pontes and Ronald De Pontes; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Daryl Yoshiaki Fujimoto, 69, of Keaau, died Sept. 9 at Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired HomeWorld general manager. Visitation to be held from 9-11 a.m. Nov. 4 at the Dodo Mortuary Chapel, with service to follow at 11 a.m. at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife Loida Gorospe of Keaau; son Dylan Fujimoto of Keaau; daughter Samantha Fujimoto of Keaau; sister Bernadine “Bernie” Fujii of Hilo; mother-in-law Lourdes Gorospe of Keaau; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Frederick Kane Helenihi, 74, of Huntington Beach, Calif., died Oct. 6 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a supervisor for the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Celebration of life to be held at a later date. Survived by son Erick (Helina) Helenihi of Boston; daughter Jamie Helenihi of California; brothers James Kimo (Judy) Helenihi of Hilo and Jeff (Tammy) Mullins of Honolulu; sisters Mary Ann Moana (Henry) Figueroa of Honolulu, Patricia K.
