“Drought Forecast and Implications to Water, Agriculture and Fire” is the subject of a Newsmaker Luncheon hosted by the Big Island Press Club from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Waikoloa Village Association Clubhouse Banquet Room.

The venue is located near the back of Johnny’s Restaurant, at 68-1790 Melia Street in Waikoloa.
Panelists will discuss the latest drought forecast with a meteorologist from the Honolulu office of the National Weather Service.
Also on the panel will be state Sen. Tim Richards, vice chairman for the Senate Agriculture and Environment Committee. He and others will explain how drought could impact water, agriculture, and the threat of wildfire on the island.
The luncheon cost is $29 for club members and $34 for nonmembers. The luncheon includes slider and crudite stations.
