Betty K. H. Liu, 90, of Hilo, died Oct. 15. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired home economics teacher at Kailua Intermediate School. Inurnment will take place at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kanoehe at a later date. Preceded in death by husband Clifford Liu and son Kenneth Liu. Survived by daughters Katherine Liu of San Jose, Susan (Brian) Hara of Hilo; sister Nancy Yuen of Honolulu; grandchildren Nicholas Hara, Chad Hara and Kaitlyn Liu; one great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
