The Honokaa Business Association presents the 2nd annual Honokaa Renaissance Faire from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The free, all-ages event will be located at the Honokaa Sports Complex and throughout historic Honokaa town. Renaissance, medieval, and fantasy garb is encourage — the more creative and colorful, the better.

Maps and schedules will be available by scanning QR code flyers around town.

The “Kaukau Caravan” food truck alley is where a smorgasbord of flavors from around the island and around the world will be offered, including sweet treats, savory meals, meat and vegetarian options, mead, ale and nonalcoholic beverages.

Visit various “villages” throughout the town and discover unique and magical gifts. These range from fine clothing, jewelry and accessories; hand-blown glass, ceramics, woven wares and crystal creations; soaps, salves and herbal blends; and tarot readings and aura photography.

The “Valhalla Arena,” will overflow with engaging physical activities throughout the day, challenging and educating participants with medieval martial arts lessons, mock battles and various other games of skill.

Keiki, too, can join in the fun by listening to a storyteller under a tree, finding an animal to hold, painting their own sword and shield, playing fun games, or going wild in a bouncy castle.

There will be performances throughout the day. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to relax in the grass and take in the sights. The lineup includes Irish dancers, fencing, circus acts, local musicians, epic stories, and a fire show.

The Honokaa Renaissance Faire is seeking volunteers to help with day-of set up and breakdown. Short shifts are available. Applications are currently being accepted.
