John “Junior” “Drake” Freitas Adrian Jr., 81, of Hilo died Nov. 11 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for Yamada &Sons Inc., U.S. Navy Seabee and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran, member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and founding member of the Big Island Early Irons Car Club. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 6 p.m. Graveside urn committal service 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery in Laupahoehoe. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Andrea Adrian of Hilo; son, Chad (Julie) Adrian of Mountain View; daughter, Chantel (Sean Pedrina) Adrian of Laupahoehoe; brother-in-law, Jack (Lois) Rouse of Moravia, N.Y.; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Ellen Lee Johnson, 97, of Papaikou died Nov. 12 at home. Born in Fort Scott, Kan., she was a reservation agent for the former Trans World Airlines, state Department of Education Chapter 1 tutor and parent involvement coordinator, Girl Scout leader, and member of Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, and Hilo United Methodist Church. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by children, Mark (Inez) Johnson of Papaikou, David (Olga Garcia) Johnson of Destin, Fla., and Margaret Johnson of Papaikou; sister-in-law, Lorraine Hyle of Topeka, Kan.; three grandchildren and a great-grandson; a nephew, cousins. Llewelyn “Lenny” Alana Kauwe, 67, of Kailua-Kona died Nov, 16 at home. He was a general contractor, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, loving husband and father. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kealakekua Meetinghouse at 81-6493 Mamalahoa Hwy. in Kealakekua. Keith Fumio Mento, 61, of Papaikou died Nov. 15 at Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Hilo. Private services. Abraham Kanaloa Carter Moses Jr., 61, of Hilo died May 8 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a warehouse manager for Garden Exchange, owner of Abe Services, commercial fisherman for Hanalike of Napoopoo and Hawaii National Guard veteran. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Honaunau Rodeo Grounds. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire.
