Brackets were released for the HHSAA girls soccer state playoffs and the Central Pacific Bank/BIIF boys soccer playoffs on Wednesday evening.
The boys’ BIIF tourney will begin Monday — as No. 1 seed Kealakehe (7-1-0) hosts No. 4 Kea‘au (4-4-1) and No. 2 Hilo (5-2-0) will host No. 3 Waiakea (4-3-1) in Division I.
In Division II, No. 1 KS-Hawai‘i (9-0-0) will host No. 4 Parker (1-6-1) and No. 2 Hawaii Prep (3-4-1) will host no. 3 Honoka‘a (2-3-2). All games will kick off at 3 p.m. on Monday.
The title matches for both divisions will take place Wednesday at Waiakea HS, starting with DII. All teams that make it to the championship will qualify for the state playoffs, and both champions will receive a first round bye.
Girls’ BIIF DI and DII champions Hilo High and KS-Hawai‘i will enter their respective state tournaments in the quarterfinals — which will be played on O‘ahu.
Hilo is seeded No. 4 in DI, and will face the winner of a match between Mililani High and Kaiser High. Punahou School is seeded at No. 1 — followed by No. 2 Campbell High. According to the HHSAA bracket, KS-Maui is also seeded No. 4.
Waiakea High is unseeded, and will host its first round matchup on Monday against Kapolei High (8-3-3) — which placed fifth in the O‘ahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) DI playoffs this week.
KSH got the No. 2 seed in DII, and will take on the victor of Radford High versus Waimea High. Kauai High is the top seed, and Kalani High is No. 3.
HPA will take on Maui DII champion Seabury Hall on Monday on O‘ahu. Per ScoringLive, Seabury Hall only played against Molokai High this season — winning all six matchups.
