“The Biggest Easter Egg Hunt” will take place Friday, March 29, at Francis Wong Stadium in Hilo.
“The Biggest Easter Egg Hunt” will take place Friday, March 29, at Francis Wong Stadium in Hilo.
The annual event is free and open to the public and is presented by the Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation, the Kiwanis Club of East Hawaii, the Hilo High School Key Club and the Waiakea High School Key Club.
In addition to an egg hunt, the event features an ice cream eating contest, crafts and other keiki activities.
Doors open at 8 a.m., and the activity line-up is as follows:
— Easter crafts, activities and keiki ID: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., for children 12 and younger.
— Ice cream eating contest: begins at 9 a.m.; age groups are 4-5 years old, 6-8 years old, 9-12 years old.
— Easter Egg Hunt start times: 10 a.m. for children 4-5; 10:30 a.m. for children 6-8; 11 a.m. for children 9-12.
For the Easter Egg Hunt, there is no need to bring baskets as bags will be provided, and parents and guardians are not allowed on the field.
