Born in Waialua, Oahu, she was a retired registered nurse, LPN training lead instructor at Hawaii Community College, public health nurse, U.S. Army Nursing Corps veteran, masters in nursing graduate at the University of Washington, golfer, gardener, Korean drama fan and frequent Las Vegas visitor. Stanley Itsuo Toyama, 93, of Hilo died Dec. 16, 2023, under hospice care. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel, retired administrator for the Air Force Reserve and member of Hilo United Methodist Church, Hui Okinawa, Wednesday Golf Club and Hilo Community Chorus.
